I know somewhere it said that it was set in between the specters flute and the mask of miracles, but looking at one of of the trailers I noticed that it has flora in it and she doesn't come into the series until the curious village, also it had the old verision of luke, you know, the one where he doesn't have the blue sweater on... so when exactly is it set? thanks.When is Professor Layton and the eternal diva movie set?
Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva (working title) essentially occurs between the fourth and fifth games (being the first and second games in the prequel trilogy) and features characters introduced in the fourth game
While Flora makes a brief cameo appearance, along with cameos from other characters, this is primarily a nod to fans who would appreciate the references to the original trilogy
As for Luke not wearing a blue sweater, this is how Luke appears in the fourth game, where he's younger
Additionally, early screenshots for the fifth game show Luke as having another costume change which, in itself, places the movie between the fourth and fifth games
On a related note, Hershel Layton's Twitter has posted that the movie is expected to be released in English during September 2010
