Umm, personally, ive never played proffesor layton and the curios village, but i haveplayed and completed pandoras box and thoughtit was a really good game :D i think this link should help, remember it doesnt matter about the color of the squares, just the positioning :D

Square1,pins1and2 from row1 and pins 1and 2 from row 2. Square2, pin1 from row4 pins 1 and 3 from row 5 and pin 1 from row 6. Square3, pin 3 from row 3 pins 1 and 4 from row 4 and pin 4 from row 5. Square4, pin 5 from row 1 pins 4 and 6 from row 2 and pin 4 in row 3. Square5, pin 3 from row 1 pin 5 in row 2 pin 2 in row 3 and pin 3 in row 4. Square6, pin 3 in row 2 pin 5 in row 3 pin 2 in row 5 and pin 3 in row 6. Square7, pin 4 in row 1 pin 1 in row 3 pin 5 in row 4 and pin 2 in row 6.
